FSAA welcomes appointment of new Football Australia CEO

The Football Supporters Association Australia (FSAA) welcomes the appointment of Martin Kugeler as the new Chief Executive Officer of Football Australia.

This appointment brings a layer of much-needed stability to the governing body as we enter a pivotal cycle for the sport in this country.

We particularly welcome Martin's immediate focus on unity, noting his comment: "Importantly, you also can only be truly successful if all stakeholders of the game are united and support each other for shared values, purpose, and cooperation, putting football first."

However, we recognise that the hard work begins now. There is significant work to be done to bring the various factions of the game together and align the football ecosystem toward that shared vision.

As the national voice for supporters, the FSAA looks forward to establishing a fruitful and constructive relationship with Martin. Our priority remains clear: representing the interests of Australian football fans and ensuring their voice is heard at the highest level.

To achieve this, the game requires leadership that is visible and accessible. We encourage Martin to prioritise open dialogue with the community that breathes life into the sport.
