Our stance has not changed: Football is not for export

Football Supporters Association Australia would like to affirm our position in standing with millions of football supporters around the world against the export of domestic football matches, including matches to Australia.

This is bigger than one game and certainly bigger than just one group of supporters.

This is firmly about protecting the integrity of the game, the connection of club to community and safeguarding local leagues by firmly rejecting the commodification of football by irresponsible owners and decision makers.

We have already seen this style of 'selling out' attempted in Australia with the A-league Grand Final decision (and subsequent backtrack) where tradition, integrity, and sporting merit were sacrificed at the whim of a corporate partnership.

Put simply, if football's decision makers aren't going to protect the game, then the fans will.
