FSAA Submits Key Recommendations to Australian Professional Leagues (APL)
Following the submission of key recommendations to Football Australia (FA) in July, the Football Supporters Association Australia (FSAA) is now pleased to provide the wider football community with an update on our engagement with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL).
The FSAA Committee was extended the opportunity to formally submit a set of key recommendations directly to the APL Management and Executive.
These recommendations are designed to solidify the role of supporters as genuine partners in the long-term success of the domestic game.
These crucial recommendations include:
Formal Supporter Consultation: The establishment of a formal supporter consultation process with FSAA.
Unified Culture & Advocacy: A unified approach to supporter culture and game advocacy across the professional leagues.
External Stakeholder Partnership: A formalised partnership with FSAA in external stakeholder engagement.
The FSAA presents these recommendations in the spirit of goodwill, collaboration, and a shared passion for the future of the A-Leagues. We believe that a strong, formalised, and collaborative relationship between supporters and the APL is essential for sustained success.
We can also report that negotiations have begun on the implementation of these recommendations.
We want to thank the APL Management and Executive for their openness and the opportunity to present these recommendations.
