Statement: Our game is not for sale

Once again FIFA has shown the world that the biggest threat to football is FIFA itself.

Football belongs to the people who fill the terraces, perform on the pitches, work the canteens, coach the juniors—not private equity firms or corporate boardrooms.

The proposals floated by FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding the privatisation and financial restructuring of the FIFA World Cup represent a direct threat to the governance, accessibility, and integrity of the world game.

This is a global challenge that requires a united, global response.

The supporter movement across the world is mobilising. We stand in complete solidarity with our international counterparts, including the Football Supporters' Association (FSA) in the UK and Football Supporters Europe (FSE).

Across every continent fans are sending a clear signal: our game is not for sale.

Supporters worldwide must be prepared to unite and organise to hold governing bodies accountable.
